Ashley has been a real estate attorney for over 11 years and has served on several boards over the years. She’s lived in Chaffee County with her husband and two pups for the past four years after relocating from the front range. Previously, she was the executive director of the Chaffee Housing Authority and had an 11-year career as a teacher and school administrator before practicing law. Ashley is committed to helping SMMS expand and grow.

Becky is an entrepreneur and the owner of Heart Baker, a micro-bakery in Buena Vista. She also owns a health coaching practice and supports her clients through integrative wellness. As new mom, she loves strapping on her baby and enjoying our wonderful nature, hiking with her dogs, and supporting local businesses at the farmers market and around Buena Vista. She’s excited to support the SMMS mission and be part of a community that nurtures curiosity, independence, and connection.

Originally from Minnesota, Megan has called Buena Vista home for nearly 15 years. She earned her degree in Mathematics from the University of Redlands in Southern California before settling in Colorado. Her family owns and operates two local businesses—Blake Appraisal Company, specializing in residential appraisals, and Little Daisy Liquor. She’s a proud parent of a 4-year-old at SMMS and a 1-year-old.  She’s been an advocate for childcare and education in Chaffee county for many years and a member of Chaffee County Women Who Care.

Cody is a recruiter in the tech industry and has a son at SMMS. She and her family, and their two huskies, have lived in the valley for three years where they are lucky to embrace the incredible lifestyle BV has to offer. They all feel fortunate to be a part of the growing, vibrant community at SMMS.

Lynn taught special education for 10 years before she and her husband bought a conference where her role was to manage the 80+ speakers for the annual event. Lynn is also a mother of two sons and is retired. Healthy families and healthy children are important to Lynn and serving on the board of Shining Mountains Montessori will offer an opportunity to participate with and contribute to our growing community and the young families of BV.

Loretta retired to Buena Vista following a career in public service and the private sector in the Human Services area. She held supervisory roles and ended her career as a Human Resources Specialist. She also sat on the board for a day care program that her two sons attended many years ago.
